My cholesterol results are in and posted in my journal. Just to let you all know my levels have dropped, my total cholestrol is still high at 212, but hey-it beats 304!

All Right! Nice work! I'm doing a little dance in my office

That is outstanding you have lowered it by almost 30%! The doctor must have been very very happy.

Congrats.

That is just fantastic, Neener! Your total cholesterol now is just a tad high of normal--doesn't that make you feel great? And consider the proportion that you've lowered your cholesterol; that is certainly biologically significant!

That's good news...but the GREAT news is the drop in your Triglycerides! It's clear that you are on the right track.

I'm working on the same problem myself, and have made some progress to date...your numbers give me hope for my next round of tests! Good work.

I get to talk to my Doc on Monday. He doesn't know I've been on Atkin's yet. I'd like to see him pooh-pooh it now my levels have come down. He seemed to think diet wouldn't help. I bet he just thought I was just another fat girl that couldn't diet and exercise my way to better health. It will be interesting to see what he has to say!

Just a wild guess, but I'm betting he'll give all the credit to the exercise. There seems to be a deep-rooted aversion in most medical folks to ascribe any positive benefits to LC. They've been brainwashed for far too long (except for a few who dare to believe their patients!)

Geo-
I really haven't exercised very much. I did walk several times a day the first two months, but have slacked off with the heat. Nope-I give credit to the diet.
