Question Daily Intake of Protein Vs. Fat etc. ???

Does anyone have some info on how many grams of protein, fat, etc. are supposed to be consumed during the induction phase? I haven't been able to find this info.
Thanks

Atkins doesn't specify percentages of protein or fat. But you'll be staying under 20 grams of carbs a day on induction. You really need to read the book. There is a very detailed list of exactly what is permitted (and required) for the first two weeks (induction). I get the sense that most people tend to eat about 60-70% of their calories as fat in the induction phase.

I wondered about this myself when I started low-carbing (PP). Then I did some math:

40 g of carb/day X 5 cal/g of carb = 200 cal.

105 g. of protein/day X 5 cal/g. of protein = 525 cal.

525 cal. + 200 cal. = 725 cal.

Now, since I wasn't trying to restrict my calories severely, I aimed for a total daily intake of 1800-2000 cal/day. So, my target percentages came out to these:

Carbs
Low percentage: 200/2000 = 10%
High percentage: 200/1800 = 22%

Protein
Low percentage: 525/2000 = 25%
High percentage: 525/1800 = 29%

Fat
Low percentage: (1800-525-200)/1800)= 60%
High percentage: (2000-525-200)/2000 = 64%

During my weight loss, I frequently ate fewer carbs than allowed, and sometimes got as low as 1600 calories total, so my actual percentages came out to about these:

Fat: 65-70%
Protein: 25-30%
Carb: 5-10%
