Default Bad breath for life?

I've been low-carbing for a few months. I was thinking this morning about how impatient I am to move it along, "get it over with" and do a modified eating plan, etc. I was thinking of the great stuff about being a goal weight. One of the aspects was NO MORE BAD BREATH!!! I HATE bad breath!!! (And it always seems to be there)

Well, then it occured to me that if I'm low-carbing forever, WILL I HAVE THIS BREATH FOREVER?

When I hit goal, my plan is to eat all fruits and veggies, (starchy in moderation), and just add some oatmeal or granola occastionally. Bad breath FOREVER??? For a girl who spent 15 years in the dental profession, that's a toughie!

I don't know if this will happen or not, but it was a brand new thought. What do you guys think?

Once you hit your goal and by that time have gone through the phases, you will no longer need to be in ketosis burning fat, and it is the ketosis that causes the bad breath. Don't worry...this too shall pass

Thumbs up

lol...it does get better. I had stinky breath in the beginning but hubby hardly complains now....I think as you get along in this WOE and your weight-loss slows a bit, the ketosis symptoms lessen as well (it has for me anyway) and yet am still losing (2 lbs this week!!).

Ok, well, THAT'S GOOD.

What's really frustrating for me right now is that my weight hasn't moved for 6 weeks and I STILL have the breath. Not fair!!!
