Thumbs up Caramel Popcorn!!!!!!

I came up with this the other night and it was supurb!!!!

Plain Pork Rinds
melted butter
Davinci Caramel Syrup
(Use your own judgement with quantity)

Put butter and Davinci Syrup into a cup and melt together.

Place Pork Rinds in a container that has a lid. Slowly pour butter/syrup mixture over pork rinds. Put lid on container and shake!

Enjoy! Um Um Um....

You can buy them online from netrition.com, and probably other places as well. Try Googling "DaVinci syrups" and see what their web site says.

HTH!

Netrition is suspending delivery of most of the DaVinci flavors because of the cold temperatures. There's a warning on the site that says the bottles can freeze and shatter in cold weather. Darn - I was looking forward to ordering a few good flavors!

Most Super-WalMarts carry them, I think. And Super Target carries Archer Farms brand of SF syrups on the coffee aisle. In fact, I think most larger grocery stores carry at least one flavor of some kind of SF coffee syrup, mostly vanilla and hazlenut from my ventures.

I have the AF caramel. I may just have to give this a try. Sounds interesting.

Just make sure you get the one that says sugar free since davinci also makes sugary syrups too.

I know that was obvious but sometimes I find these things worth mentioning.

While I don't venture in this thread area often, for whatever reason I popped in today and I'm glad I did because I have something to add! I, too, was lamenting how netrition had stopped shipment of the Davinci SF syrups (and I was getting dangerously low on my favorite French Vanilla!). So on a tip I tried our local Wal-Mart (NOT a "super" one) and no dice. SO on a hunch, I headed over to Marshall's and checked out that gourmet area they have and hit paydirt! I came home with 2 FV's and a Caramel. Yum!

yes, Lisaz8605 is right, Marshalls carries it also, along with super walmart.

TJ Maxx Carries it also, if you have a TJ Maxx store near you

I have also found the Vanilla Torani SF Syrup at, of all places, the Christmas Tree Shoppe! It's $2.99 for the bottle.

Not having made these before....my guess would be you used too much liquid to the amount of pork rinds? (Like when you put too much butter on popcorn - it gets wet & icky!)
