I don't call it a stall though my weight has been bouncing about 3lbs either way for about a month now. So I sat back and started to look at what the last month was like. First my husband reached his goal a month earlier and is now bringing back some of his old favorites slowly to see what they do to his weight. Our meals are not so carb concious anymore. Second I stopped writting in my journal. Three there has been more than usual eating out such as banquets and birthday parties lately. So with all of the above I see why I kind of stalled in the weight loss department. I never realized how beneficial it was to have a deit buddy( my husband) untill I'm having to go it alone. I guess now the work starts. And I've also changed my goal to 145 to have a 5lb zone to work with. My goal is so close but seems so far off, its gets harder the closer you get.

It is hard to go it alone. Probably even more so, when you have someone in the house upping their carbs. No one around me is doing low carb, so I can relate.

The last few pounds will take longer, that is for sure-but you have come so far! I have also thought about dropping my goal weight a couple of pounds to give me some wiggle room-but I think I will wait to do that when I have reached my currently posted goal weight. I want to see 100% under my name.

It definitely can get harder as you near goal. I took 5 MONTHS to lose 3 pounds (which technically was not a stall but you can see that I was MAJORLY slowed down!). About 3 weeks ago I got serious about it again though. I mentally decided I was tired of dinking around and needed to get serious about it. So I cut out the things I knew were holding me back. No SF chocolates, no nuts, no cream, and no low carb products like low carb tortillas - not until I reach goal. I keep my net carbs back at 20 and only subtract FIBER. I keep protein in the range of 80 - 100. I also resumed more regular exercise (I had gotten real lax about that) and I watch my total calories. With these changes I have lost 7 pounds in that three weeks time frame. Averaging back to 2 lbs a week - which is actually on the high end of when I was losing the bulk of my weight previously.

I was mentally ready and it sure feels good to see that scale moving. I am now only 8 pounds to my goal. Positive I will make it very soon. My point in all of this... is not only is the lack of a diet buddy part of your situation... but are you really mentally ready to see the thing done? It makes a difference.

Well can you just eat the same things as hubby, but smaller quantities? My guys (Hubby and sons) have no wieght issues at all and I eat every night/day with them.
If he is bringing in things you really should'nt have, then two things can happen, you'll be tempted and put weight on. Maybe ask him to give you a bit of a break and hold off on some things if you really can't resist them. Don't forget, just cause the stuff is there, does'nt mean YOU have to eat them, let him go for it, and maybe....................... he'll start gaining as your still losing............ that would be cool. LOL

My dh wants me to have some alcohol with him once a week. I wanted to wait til I hit goal weight. Last Thursday he made me a margarita-regular. We were celebrating our daughter's finals. I think stress had something to do with it, because I also made cookies for her and I ate some cookie dough. She left for Colorado on Saturday for the summer. Anyway, I had two margartia's that night, and was up a pound the next day. This morning I actually weighed 141. I am getting closer.
