Default When you buy a new scale from a store

How do you know if the scale is on or off? I mean how do you know if it is giving you the correct weight? Do I put 5 scales on the floor at the store and take the one that I weigh the least on or what? I know the doctors office scales are not calibrated on a regular basis because in two days there was a 26lb difference in two of their scales. I guess I could take along something that I know weighs a certain weight to see if the scales at the store are right or do that when I get home. Any other thoughts? Maybe you all know of a certain brand of scale that is better than another. Let me know. Thanks

Yeah!! That sounds like as good a plan as any.
Actually, what difference does it make what the scale says?
Get out your tape measure, take measurements of your body, and use your measurements as a guide.
Only you see the numbers on your scale. Everyone can see it when you have lost inches.

No matter what the scale says, it's the downward trend that really matters. Any scale should be fine as long as it notices when you're losing!

i know exactly how you feel.
i tried two different scales and they were completly different!!!
just stick to one scale and notice your weight loss on that specific scale. Just record how much youve lost and you'll dont have to worry about the scales.
Good luck!

My scale automatically zeros itself out (not to say that makes it accurate) but I always compare my weight there with the scale in the gym (the one's you can manually zero out).

I was recently having scale problems. I had 3, my old dial scale, my moms digital, and a new digital of my own. None of them matched up. Took the digital back to walmart, went to walgreens and bought a tanita. Its supposed to be the most accurate you can get so now I have my sanity back. Im up a few pounds but now at least I know how much I really weigh.
