Unhappy More Confessions.....

Hello fellow triple-digiters....

I have MORE confessions to make.

I went to the grocery store today, JUST to get some charcoal so I could grill some hot dogs for Mothers Day.
I went there HUNGRY....

And before I left the store, I had convinced myself that I would allow myself to have some real sweets today in "celebration" of Mothers Day.

So, I bought 2 cream filled donuts, 2 jelly filled donuts, cherry cheesecake from the Deli and carrot cake.

I came home and started bingeing.
I haven't done anything like this in probably 7-8 years.

But, here's the STRANGEST PART:

I couldn't eat it like I used to.

I ate 3 of the 4 donuts; half of the cheesecake and 5 bites of the carrot cake.

I then put in all in the trash and asked my son to take the garbage out; lest I get tempted to pull it out.

I know it's terrible that I even ate what I did, but it's PROGRESS that I had the strength to not eat it all and throw it away.

Thanks for listening

Thumbs down Oh Bother!

Hi Theresa

I wonder what tempted you after 7 to 8 years! Good for you on not eating it all, realising that you did not need it all and throwing the rest away. Tell me, did you enjoy the binge? Or did you find the sugar fix a bit excessive after low carbing?

Hope that youhad a good BBQ and that today you are back on track.

Question Why binge now

I don't know why I binged now after 7-8 years of not doing it.

I think it's the idea that I "CAN'T" have it that triggered it.
It's like I was saying to myself, "Ya better grab it all while you can because there's no going back."

You are right on target, Anne. I didn't stop to think about why I couldn't finish it all. It's because the sugar tasted so "sicky-sweet." I suppose it is because my tastes have changed somewhat after LCing.

Hmmmm-- That's food for thought.
