Unhappy Microwave popcorn and Nausea

Holy cow...I'm in my office and my co-workers in the staff room just popped a bag of popcorn. The fumes have travelled into my office and stuck here and it's making me nauseous. I used to make a swine of myself at popcorn time. I guess this could be considered progress? LOL No thanks, no popcorn for me! Can somebody pass the porkrinds?

Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else of if other foods they used to love now turn them off?

Nicole

Default ohhh yeah

I have found a huge difference in how I react to food smells since going LC. It varies, but generally I find my sense of smell has gotten much stronger and a lot of food smells seem pretty sickening to me now. I was at the movies one time and had to actually sit with my nose plugged to the smells of the popcorn, nacho chips and chocolate. Before, I wouldn't have even really noticed the smells, and if I had, they wouldn't have bothered me.

Microwave popcorn is definately one of the worst. It has a very chemical-ly smell and makes me feel sick.

I have that happen to me all the time were I work, just the smell is enough to gag , I work with all guys ( lucky me NOT) and they eat that stuff everyday. And the best part is that the Intake for the furance is right over the Micro and the smell travels to all the offices . LOL I JUST CAN'T SEEM TO GET AWAY

Have found that a lot of foods that I use to love make me feel sick just to smell them. Had two tiny bites of apple pie and vanilla ice cream for my DH's 50th birthday and didn't feel so good after. All in all though, I am happy that I don't crave that sort of food any more. Makes it a lot easier!
