I see a lot of posts referring to Pork Rinds. Are they really a legal food during Induction? Please confirm.

Yup - they are made from pork skin, deep fried. Just watch the salt, it could make you retain water. And the flavoured pork rinds do have some carbs, which you would need to count. Plain ones have 0 carbs.

What other flavors to pork rinds come in besides b-b-q and original? And where can you purchase them?

Well, here in Vancouver, we can get Hot N Spicy and BBQ in addition to the plain, but I donno what's available where you are. There are a few online sources, though. Lemme see if I can find some URLs for you.

http://www.microwaveporkrinds.com/

Actually, there seem to be lots of sites for microwave pork rinds - just search on that term and you'll see!

Hope this helps

I've seen salt-n-vinegar flavored here in MA. Also BBQ and hot-n-spicy. They live in the "ethnic foods" aisle at my grocery. I've seen elsewhere on these forums that some can get cinnamon flavored which are supposed to be good for LC french toast.

I got microwave ones at Wal-Mart, but I found them so comical that I couldn't bring myself to finish 'em. They are like slo-mo popcorn! it's so silly!

Default Thnx for Rind Info

Thanks so much for the pork rind website info - that's just what I was looking for. I'm surprised it's not in the Atkins catalog.
