Talking biscotti?

Hi everyone, I've been dying to try the Keto Biscotti. Always loved a crunchy biscotti with my coffee. However, right now can't get any Keto in Canada. Also, they are very expensive.

Dr. A has a recipe in his DANDR for biscotti. Has anyone tried it? Did it come out well?

HL

Thumbs up bran muffins

Hi Nurse, how are you? I have been working on these muffins for a long time. Finally have them almost perfect!! Hope you like them.

1 cup any protein powder (whey is best, I use designer)
1/2 cup raw bran
1/2 ground flax meal
1 tb bp
1 tsp bs

Beat 3 eggs, 3/4 cups canola oil, 3/4 cups water. Add the bran and let soak.

Spray nonstick muffin tins with pam. Add dry to wet and stir only to mix. Add 1/2cup splenda. I also add 1 tb banana flavour. Real good.
Add tsp wheat gluten to make a much nicer texture. If not adding banana, add tsp vanilla, a little cinamon and nutmeg.

Bake 350 for 15-20 minutes. Depends your oven. Warning, the batter tastes awful but cooked taste like the real thing.

Ps you might want to start with 1/2 cup water, adding more if too dry. Depends which whey powder you use. I usually end up with 3/4 cup but sometimes more.

Makes 12. Worked out at 3.5 grams carb and 3.5 grams fiber.
Let me know how they turned out. Freeze very well, defrost only 30 seconds (on defrost)

HL

PPS you can also use soy flour if you want. Comes out just as good but slightly higher carbs. I perfer the high protein.
