Default I lost 8 pounds on induction!

Now, I know that's not the greatest, but I am STOKED! I have never lost this much weight in my life. Seriously, I've been stuck in the same place for years!!!

On a bad note, I had a crazy weekend on top of which I worked at an event at which I cheated last night. Yeah, great huh? I was volunteering at this auction and they had all these deserts, and I was hungry...dammit. I had two chocolate covered strawberries.

But it's the first cheat I do ever! and I don't plan to do another one anytime soon! Oh well, must not wreck my roll.

8 pounds lost during Induction is great!!! As other posters have mentioned, don't worry about the cheat (although don't let it be a frequent occurrence). If you had to cheat, at least it was "wisely". Strawberries are low on the glycemic index (a good thing) and I think the amount of chocolate on the strawberries had to be nominal. At least you didn't help yourself to a hunk of pecan pie! Keep up the good work!

Thanks everyone for your encouraging words. I am so happy, I may reach my goal sooner than I thought!! This has definitely encouraged me to keep up this WOE. I really love to eat, and I love the foods that I can eat with this.

I think I'll stay on induction for another week or two before I go on to the next stage of the atkins program. I am already allowing myself peanut butter here and there, and atkins bars on occasion. I just wonder if I'll ever eat a baked potato again. Ill cross that bridge later I guess....

I recently started Atkins and lost 8 lbs. on Induction as well. Now I am on week 4. We baked chocolate chip cookies tonight for a family treat. We played lots of loud music and danced and sang as we baked. I enjoyed three cookies and considered it a vacation, not cheating. (Yeah, right, I was going to sit around and munch on some pork rinds with the aroma of cookies wafting through the air while my children all sat around me with little chocolate smiles...What a nightmare!!!) I know I'll be back on my diet tomorrow, so what's the big deal?

By the way, I started at 188, and bounced all around the scale during Induction until the last day of the second week. I've stayed at 179/180 since then. My clothes feel looser, and I feel better. Great diet! Why would I ever want to go back?

Amy
