Default Macadamia Vs Pine Nuts

I've seen messages regarding eating Macadamia as a snack. But what about pine nuts - the book I have says that pine nuts have less carbs. Is this correct?

Thanks - Alex

Pine nuts (Pignolias) 1 cup:
Total Carbohydrate 19.34g
Dietary Fiber 6.12g

Nuts, pine nuts, pinyon, dried (100g)
Total Carbohydrate 18.06g
Dietary Fiber 10.01g

Macadamias (100g)
Total Carbohydrate 12.07g
Dietary Fiber 8.7g

All thanks to fitday.
Difficult to judge when they come in different units.
You subtract the fibre from the total carbs to get the real figure by the way. That puts macadamias at 4g per 100 - pretty low.

Pine nuts are wonderful! I have noticed that the price has dropped on them in the last few years. If you buy them whole they are really tough to eat so that really slows you down!

i have em both, the bags i get are completely untreated, both macs and pines...

on my packaging the macadamia nuts say 2.7g / 100g, and the pine nuts state 4g / 100g

both high in fat and taste lovely...

all the best..
