Default Sunflower seeds?

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has had sunflower seeds and if so have they had stalls with them? I started last week eating about 2 ounces every few days as a snack. I have not really lost any weight. I go up, go down and now up because of TOM. Every new thing that I have added in the past was the only new thing for a few days to see how my body reacted. This week I have been a mess. I ate low-fat yogurt by mistake and had some RS/SF caramel cups just because. Now I don't know if it's the seeds or the other things that have halted me. Are they like nuts and are a YMMV thing? I've read many things about nuts, but nothing really about seeds.

I guess I should just stop eating them for a while and when I'm back on track and faithful (no SF chocolates) try them again. I was just wondering what others opinions about them are.

Thanks!
Lisa

I think regarding the sunflower seeds, it's a YMMV situation. If there were sugar alcohols in the RS/SF caramel cups, that could stall you. Also, another YMMV situation. Sugar alcohols don't cause any problems for some people. The TOM causes me to gain 2-3 lbs. beforehand and during.

Are your sunflower seeds salted - it could be water retention if they are.

Hi Lisa,

I bet TOM is responsible for this. Take a look at this very good chart in the roller-coaster thread, link below.
You are doing great and sunflower seeds are so full of nutrients they could be sold as multivitamin pills.
Eat them without going overboard. I eat them almost every day.
Good luck!
Alina

Smile Thanks!

Paradise, KoKo, Alina & mum2four for your responses.

I think you guys hit the nail on the head. They are salted, so I think that I am probably retaining even more water with TOM than usual. I don't have more than 2 oz a day so I think that I am o.k. My problem is that except for a week when I had some bad news about my aunt and we went on a comfort food spree for 2 days and the yogurt and caramels last week I have continually lost weight and inches. I know that I am due for that "break" that your body takes so I was just a little extra concerned. I guess that I will just take it one week at a time and see what happens. My 2 day spree resulted in a 7 lb gain that stayed for almost a week. I have been at 168 for 2 weeks. Except for the few extra this week which I know will be gone shortly. So I will keep enjoying my seeds unless I go a few more weeks without a loss.

Thanks for the thoughts.

Lisa

I have eaten sunflower seeds all through being on this WOE. Usually 2-3 oz 3 times a week. I havent noticed any difference at all. I can go 3 weeks without losing and then lose 3-4 lbs. I never know when the woosh is gonna hit me but I never usually go more than 3 weeks without losing something.
