Default Sick with the flu- what to eat???

Hi everyone-
I have been sick for a week with a really bad stomach flu. The whole family has it and I have been sitting here watching them eat crackers and soda. I have thus far not eaten a thing since Monday except green tea. The thought of protein makes my stomach lurch and I attempted to eat an egg white but when I cracked the egg the visual of the egg white grossed me out. What can I eat??? I'm starving to death and those chicken bouillon cubes are getting nasty!
HELP!

Nancy

Nancy, I am a firm believer of if you are sick for heaven sakes eat something that will agree with you high carb or not. It is far better to eat carby foods than to deprive your body of nurishment.

When you recover go back to eating low carb, but while you are ill eat whatever it is that will stay down.

Hi Nancy

I'm with Agonycat. You need to eat so that your body can recover from the upset stomach. When you are well you can go back to LC. First get well so that you can take care of yourself and family.

Listen to your body, don't try and fight it. It will be very difficult to win the war on the bulge if your too weak to move.

Hope you feel better soon.

Default Thanks guys- going for the saltines

Thanks! I feel less badly but you're right. So I'm going to eat some matzohs and have some beef broth. Can't wait to get rid of this bug. True enough, I haven't dropped a pound ( I know, I'm bad I checked) since my body is in complete "keep all reserves" mode!
I'll let you know if I get rid of this soon! Thanks Again
Nancy

Sorry you're not feeling well. I hope you feel better soon. I was sick a few months back and I was able to stick to some sort of LC plan. I just ate Vienna Sausages ( you get these in a can by the canned meats ), chicken broth in which i made some soups with, added some veggies and such or just ate the broth, lots of jello, teas, and I even tried a LC shake. But mostly just jello and tea. Take care!
