Default newbie cad question =)

Hi all, happy easter to ya =).... I have been doing atkins for about a year now and just decided to give cad a try after realizing what a carb junkie i am hehe.. anyway, i had a question about tacos, to me a taco seems pretty balanced, with meat, lettuce tomatoe, cheese and tortilla, pretty much the only thing that's really high carb is the tortilla, now my question is, do you need to have a portion of protein + low carb vegggie + taco or can a taco be your whole meal, or 2 tacos even.... hehehe forgive me my newbness i welcome any info ... huggs to ya and thanks in advance =)

Default hello

When you are trying to balance your reward meal, you consider all the food you are planning to eat, and mentally divide it into sections on a plate. All the LC veggies (from the tacos, or otherwise) together, all the protein, all the carb. Strive to have all three sections about equal. That is what it is all about. So, if you eat your 2 tacos, and you feel that the carbs from the tortillas were balanced by the meat and the veggies, then if you wanted something for dessert, you would THEN need to have some more protein and veggies, no more tortillas though.

I hope that isn't just more confusing! LOL

Good luck!
