Default Transfats in my favorite spice!

Tonight I was seasoning our steaks with "montreal steak seasoning', and just wanted to glance at the spice ingredients, only to see it contains partially hydrogenated soybean oil. WHY?

I don't know...But, I noticed that myself when I was looking at spices. The wierdest thing I ever saw was salt that listed refined sugar (Dextrose) as an ingredient.

I will continue to use the Montreal (it's a supersized one, purchased at a price club) but after that I'm making my own. Dana Carpenders 500 LC recipes has great spice recipes in the back!

Here's ANOTHER heads up--

Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing ALSO has partially hydrogrenated soybean oil.
