I've been on the diet since 1/2/04 and sleep like a baby
(except last night). I go to sleep and don't wake up until the
alarm goes off. I can't remember if I did this when I was in
induction though. Maybe it takes time. I think your body is
not working as hard to digest all the carbs so it helps you to
sleep better.

Maybe you have more energy now and your body doesn't
want to rest yet and is trying to adjust to the change.

After the first couple of weeks, I found that I needed much less sleep every night. I thought it would impact me negatively -- cause me to drag my butt, etc.

Because you've cut out lethargy-causing carbohydrates, you are automatically going to have more energy. Add exercise, and you'll have a LOT more.

I just started jogging and taking oil of oregano. Now I feel like i have the metabolism of a hummingbird!!

It takes a while to adjust, but I also had problems sleeping initially. That's no longer a problem - only the urge to pee early in the morning interupts a nice lie-in...

The first thing I want to ask is if you're getting enough carbs, as in the 20 allowed for Induction? If you don't get the 20 you may want to add more veggies.

Since I started this WOE in October '03, I have had a terrible time Getting to sleep. Once I am asleep it's great, it's just getting there. I have been going to sleep anywhere from 12a-2a and up between 6:30 and 7:30a with ds everyday. I feel like I should be dragging ALL day, but I'm not! I think it's a mental thing with me at this point. I'll look at the clock when he wakes up and think "Ugh, I just got to sleep 4 hours ago, I'm going to feel like crap", but I feel pretty good. Once in awhile I LOVE to nap when he does, but it causes me to be up later (that's a 2am night).
Anyway, I guess I'm trying to say to go with it and see what happens

Alli
