I lost 18 pounds in the first two weeks. But nothing is typical. Also, skipping lunch is REALLY NOT OK. You are trying to maintain a constant level of blood sugar. Not eating for 8 to 12 hours will not allow you to achieve this. Plus, in induction you usually feel pretty crappy and not eating and drinking enough is going to make it worse. This is not a low cal WOL and if you do not eat enough you will not lose.

Even if the meals are small, try to eat 3 a day. That will keep your metabolism going. Ensure lots of water and excersize and the weight will fall off.

I lost 6 lbs the first two and 1-2 since. Hit a few weeks did not lose an ounce but lost inches. Take your measurements. I find that helps to remeasure and keep me going on program when the scale isnt moving. I am horrible about weighing constantly. I flucuate 1-2lbs during the day, Heaviest in evening. The measurement taking will help you "see" the results when the scale doesn't. Try not to skip your lunch. Make it some raw veggies and a boiled egg if necessary. Your protein level drops you get tired and extremely hungry and tend to overeat at dinner. I think the Atkins book says your meals should reduce during the day. Breakfast being the biggest then lunch and a light dinner. I split up my exercise in AM and PM. That way it boosts the metab to still burn calories while I sit all day at work and again right before I sleep to burn calories while I rest at night. I THINK Im too busy to do a solid 60 minutes at one time. My endurance is low. I also try to get at least 8 glasses of water down in the morning so I dont have to deal with it anymore. I make myself drink 4 glasses before I have my AM coffee and 4 more after. Every glass of "caffeine" I have to drink one glass of water. Every time I go into the kitchen and open the frig and am not hungry just looking, bored, I make myself drink water. I had to make a game outta it. I posted a thread about hating water, Still do!!!!!! Good luck!!!

I lost 7 in the first two weeks, nothing for 2 weeks then 1 lost. Went another week before I lost another 1. Not discouraged though because the inches are coming off and I feel really great!

Thank you all for your responses. I've been drinking at least 3 liters of water a day. Going to start my tae bo today, too. Hope this works.

I suggest reading the Atkins book, it has all the answers and goes into great detail on Induction.
