Or if you want to try your own this ketchup is sensational and so simple no cooking or nothing.
Just make sure you get a good quality tomato paste with no sugar in it. I used Hunts and it was great.
I used crunched up onion it instead of the powder worked a-ok
I used stevia which lowers the carbs more
BETTER "HEINZ" KETCHUP
6 ounce can tomato paste*
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup vinegar
5 teaspoons Splenda or about 1/8 teaspoon liquid Splenda
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon salt
Very tiny pinch or up to 1/8 teaspoon each ground cloves, cinnamon and garlic powder
Mix all ingredients well. Be sure to add the spices. They are important for that "Heinz" flavor.
Makes 1 1/3 cups
Made with granulated Splenda:
* 1 cup - 23 usable carbs
* 1/4 cup - 6 usable carbs
* 1 tablespoon - 1.5 usable carbs
* 1 teaspoon - .5 usable carbs
Made with liquid Splenda:
* 1 cup - 21.5 usable carbs
* 1/4 cup - 5.5 usable carbs
* 1 tablespoon - 1.5 usable carbs
* 1 teaspoon - .5 usable carbs
* The first couple times I made this, I used Kroger brand tomato paste and it came out very thick and had a somewhat odd, almost grainy texture. This time I used Hunt's brand and the texture is much more like real ketchup, but is quite a bit thinner. I suggest slowly adding the water until you get the consistency you like. Of course, using less water will alter the total carb count because you'll have less ketchup, but I don't think it will be off by too much.
