Smile Hello everyone!

I am new and just thought I would say hi.
I dont know exactly how much I weigh because the Drs scale only goes up to 300.
I once got weighed on a laundry scale at the hospital but that was very embarassing, so I am just guestimating my weight.
I will be using measurements to see if I am doing well or not.
I have at least 150 ponds to lose.
I am 43 and live in Ontario Canada.
I dont know what else to say right now .
I look forward to "meeting you"...

Hi TooMuch. I'm new here as well. I try not to dwell on weight but on inches and how I fit into clothes.

I look forward to getting to know you and losing with you.

Welcome 2 much,

You will see how great this forum is and the support you need.

I invested in a good scale that weighs to 500 becuase I knew I would be doing this the rest of my life, and I need the scale to be my friend.

Before I never had a scale and look what happened to me.

I weigh every day and it doesn't bother me to see it go up a bit because eventually it goes back down lower.

Talking Simply....the best

this is the best place to be. I love this forum. Please don't hesitate to email me. I need all the support I can get too. Start your journal. You will be so successful. This is the one and only diet that I have truely been successful on. I am only weighing in once a month now....it is hard for me to not focus on the weight. Once a month allows me to focus on how my clothes fit...and that is a good thing....

WELCOME...AND BE ENCOURAGED!!!!!

Welcome 2 much,

I had the same problem with weighing when I started. My starting weight is listed as 360, but that is just a guess because my doctor's scale only went up to 350. I think I may have even been higher than 360 -- perhaps 370? What matters is not the starting weight but that I have lost a lot of weight and you will too. I couldn't get weighed for the first several months, but I started feeling better right away and then my clothes started getting looser. If you weigh over 350, I think it takes at least 20 or 30 pounds before you notice it in the way your clothes fit -- and more if everything is elastic -- so don't worry if you don't notice a change in the clothes right away. This way of eating really does work and you will lose weight!
