Default Confused about Soy!

I have seen that alot of people around here mention using SoyMilk.....when I picked it up at the grocery store, it seemed to be high in carbs. That is why I use whole cream or half in half in my coffee. Just wondering, is there something I don't know about Soy? Is there a certain kind that is lower carb out there?

Thanks!

Look for Unsweetened or No-Sugar Added Soy Milk. Unfortunately, many companies add loads of Refined Sugar to their Soy Milk.

I was fooling around with soymilk a little while ago and tried a combination of whipping cream and soymilk as a hot beverage. The cream took a bit of the "edge" off the soy.

I don't know why other people use soy milk, but I use it in cooking for my children because I have a son who is lactose intolerant. I also wish to avoid feeding them BGH (Bovine Growth Hormone).
