Talking The Strawberries Are Ripe! Mmmmmmmmm

If you are at the point in Atkins where you can have strawberries, I'd say go get em now! I just bought some from my grocery Publix and ALL of them are a deep red and are really sweet - not tart at all. DEE-LISH!

I had some the other night. I made Dr. Atkin's Molten Chocolate Cake, topped it off with strawberries and whip cream. Mmm, I was in heaven!

Geez, last month here in B.C. we had some awesome Strawberries, from CAl. but lately they look................ well not as nice, put it that way and 4.95 a pound, so they are'nt visiting my grocery cart this month
But I still have some organic frozen ones in the freezer, along with about 15 #'s left of the 40 lbs of organic Blueberries we picked last summer.

Actually, just today, I warned my guys, we are "all" going picking this year, anyone who eats them daily, like they do, must come along this year!!
I lost my number one picker (19 yr old son moved away)

So have a few of those ones for me please.

Kathy

Oh, gosh, they're wonderful -- we can buy them on the roadside from the trucks coming up from Hammond, LA. I think it's Fate that I'm officially on pre-maintenance levels now, because my new fave breakfast is half a cup sliced berries, half a cup cottage cheese, and one packet of Splenda. Heaven in a bowl, let me tell you!
