I've been craving East Indian food. Does anyone know a low-carb recipe for chicken tikka massala? Lamb buna gosht? Something with a lot of spice.

I'm going to go look at those recipes Karen gave you! I was craving EI food big time so I bought a can of curry sauce (India House at Superstore) and used LC-friendly veggies (cauliflower, green beans, daikon, zucchini) and cubed chicken breast. Slow simmered the whole thing on the stove for a nice long while. I love dahl (sp?) but buttermilk is too high carb, so I substituted mayo mixed with some lemon juice and grated cucumber. Oh, added butter to veggies, too, and extra curry powder.

Now, to the recipes....

N.

Crimson: Ghosht means meat in most Indian languages, so you can use your choice of lamb, beef, pork, venison, etc. I have just posted a recipe for Bhuna Ghosht on the following site: www.cooking4her.blogspot.com

You will also find some other Indian recipes there, most are low carb. Good luck and enjoy!
