I just have to say that i cheated (sort of) and I am in heaven! I finally tracked down some syrup (I was hoping to find fruit flavours, but only managed to find carmamel/vanilla) but I came home made a cup of coffee (this is where i cheated) and it is so good!!!!! YUM!! Thanks to all! Now if only i could find some other flavours - you guys in the US seem to have all the luck!! If shipping & handling wasn't so outrageous, i would probably order it offline. If anyone has the hookup on where to get more flavours in Canada, pleaseplease let me know Hope you are all having a great day...

faeriegirl, you can get TONS of flavours at the Cash & Carry in Bellingham, if you feel like going for a drive one day.

Question DaVincini Syrup

DaVinci's sounds wonderful. Any ideas about what you are using these for?
Thanks

I have been using just a little Vanilla to sweeten my coffee in the mornings - it is much less artifical that using plain sweeteners (the syrup tastes like the vanilla that you would get at Starbucks or something). I also tried adding a little bit of caramel flavour to some whipped cream - just for a little bit of a treat. yum!

Default OH MY GOD!

I love these. (I've bought from netrition.com, carbsmart.com and from DaVinci's website).
I have Dulce de Leche, hazelnut, vanilla, cherry, and Raspberry.
My all time favorite "Sweet" is to use these to make Italian Sodas.
That's club soda, syrup, and heavy cream (the proportions are on the large Davinci's bottles I think it's 6 to 1 to 1). Use whatever flavor you like... my favorites are the dulce de leche and the vanilla... but I have ROOT BEER on order (uhmmmmm Root beer float).
Yum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anyone have the carb count on these?? I'm thinking of getting our local Java place to order me some.

I've only seen the Atkins s/f syrup, raspberry, $10.00 for a little bottle................ Not a chance I'd pay that !

Cheers Kathy

This is from the website:

No Calories. Sugar Free. Great Taste. Sweetened with SPLENDAŽ Brand Sweetener, our Sugar Free Flavored Syrups have the same world-class flavor as our Classic Syrups, but without the calories. SPLENDA is the only zero-calorie sweetener made from real sugar and as a result, it tastes more like real sugar.

No info on nutrition. The web site is:

http://www.davincigourmet.com/page....s=10&category=2

The bottle of hazelnut flavor I have says this:

Serving Size 1 Tbsp
Calories 0
Total fat 0g
Total Carbohydrate 0g
Sugar 0g
Protein 0g

Ingradients: Water, Natural and artificial flovors, cellulose gim, Sucralose (SPLENDA Brand) Sodium Benzonate (to preserve flavor quality) Citric Acid.

The way I understand it, and I may be wrong, is that liquid splenda does not have carbs. Powder splenda does because of the fillers.

Hope this helps.

Here's the information for pretty much any of the flavors. (I think the pancake maple is slightly different):

Serving size: 1 fl. oz.
Calories: 0
Fat: 0
Sodium: 10
Carbs: 0
Fiber: 0
Protein: 0

So enjoy!

The powdered Splenda has maltodextrin as a filler, which I believe counts for slightly under 1g per packet. (I count it as 1, just to be on the safe side.

As far as paying $10 a bottle, you probably aren't going to go much lower than that here. For the ones that i bought at the local coffee house, they were $8.75 a bottle (grantid it is a very big bottle, and will last for a long time). I guess i justified it as being a treat that is versatile - because i can cook with it, and have it in my coffee. I guess part of me also thinks that paying a bit extra isn't that bad - simply because we have the freedom to eat all these fantastic rich foods, and still lose weight on them! I don't understand why it is almost $10 here, and only $3.50 in the U.S. though. You guys have all the luck!

I'd be happy to pay $10.00 if it was a big bottle, 750ml., but the one I saw was about 300 ml at the most, and it had carbs, to boot!

Will have to get some Davinci's
Thanks guys. Kathy

Cherry
Caramel
Green Apple
Starfruit

Total came to $44.40 US, including shipping. Hope to receive them this week! (They ship Monday and Tuesday by 3-day delivery.)
