Default fast food carb count? cobb salad

All of the links I have found for fast food carb counts are expired or not available or outdated.

Mcdonalds has a chicken cobb salad now that I think is okay. Even the store doesnt have the nutrition info. If the bacon in it is real it should be low enough. Anybody seen a count?

I found it on the Mc Donald's U.S.A. page. The Grilled Chicken California Cobb Salad has 280 cals 11 carbs 3 fiber I asume this is without dressing. It is to high in carbs for me. Pat S

They list the carb counts on the website, but it's a little hard to read:

OMG - 77 carbs in a supersize french fry order. Add all that ketchup I used to glob on and no wonder I was pushing the 200 mark.

gkeenan - Arby's site has the nutritional information, but that info includes the bun. I wrote to them and asked for carb counts of the roast beef only, and here's what they told me:

0.09 grams per ounce, a regular roast beef has 3 ounces, larger sandwiches have 4 ounces!

edited to add: Yes, all of the fast food restaurants have nutritional information, but not all of them gives specific details on the meat only. Some sites, like Burger King and McDonalds allows you to remove items such as buns and ketchup! If you find a site that doesn't have that feature, e-mail them and ask. Arby's wrote me back within 2 days!

Thanks for the links-good browsing. It would be nice to know how much of the carb count is in the bun. lol.

I think the 11 carbs in the cobb salad is workable at least for a dinner if not lunch. The chicken grilled adds 4 carbs-go figure.

The Cobb salad with chicken has 11g - 3g dietary fiber to total 9g of "the carbs that count". Of course, there's also those sneaky words ending in 'ose' in there too, so be careful of those (most are in the chicken).

Also, both McDonald's & Wendy's salads are BIG & I usually get 2 meals out of them, so the carbs are spread out.

I love the variety of greens that you get in the salads (my personal fave is the bacon ranch, minus the ranch) & I can't buy them in the store for the price of these.

bevbeme - if you look at their site and see the carb count, it's ALL the bun!!! Less than 1 is the actual meat. Their sauces contain carbs too!

Regular Roast Beef - 34g
Giant Roast Beef - 41
Jr. Roast Beef - 34g (must be the same bun as the regular, but less meat!)
