Default Yikes!

Can someone tell me how fast one would digest a carbolite peanut butter cup??? I ate one around 7-7:15pm. I've now (9:00pm) got a terrible case of the you know whats! Is it possible that not very good piece of pure sugar alcohols could run through ones system that fast. Or do I have something else going on? I shouldn't have ate it I know, but read so much about them here and there thought I'd give one a try. You know what they say: curiosity killed the cat or landed it in the bathroom for a good long time! I will swear them off forever if any of you say it caused my "problem" well I 'll swear them off anyway(gross!).
What do you think???? Thanks Ellen

Hi Ellen!

Yup...what you're experiencing is classic effects of Maltitol. Gas, bloating and diarrhea and yes, it can act that quickly on your system if you are sensitive to it; 2-3 hours is about what it takes to hit me.
OTOH, it could be something else too. Have you eaten anything else that would be suspect today?
