Default tomarrow is the day!!!

I have finally made up my mind to quit smoking. I am so tired of the way it makes me feel. I have to get myself healthy. I know I will be coming alot to this board for help. I have to gain some control in alot of areas of my life and smoking is a good place to start. Wish me luck and thanks for being here.

Smile Hi there

Congrats on your decision to quit I gave up on January 1 this year and feel that it was one of the best thing's I've ever done.

It's not always easy, but we're all here to help each other. You may also find that a site such as Quitnet may be really helpful too - although I don't do it so often now, I would check my non-smoking stats every day - it really helped to keep me on track!

My Stats:
Time Smoke-Free: 74 days, 7 hours, 46 minutes and 44 seconds
Cigarettes NOT smoked: 2973
Lifetime Saved: 22 days, 17 hours
Money Saved: £691.16

Good luck for tomorrow - look forward to hearing how you are getting on

Hi everyone. Just wanted you to know I'm still going strong. I have been coughing alot at night. but I figure it is my body trying to adjust to this. I have started doing the Walk Away the Pounds tapes and I find that it helps take my mind off of smoking. And of course I drink lots and lots of water. I will talk to you later.

Congrats on how well you're doing so far

Don't worry about the coughing - it is just an indication that your body (lungs) is beginning to heal. I had a lot of chest pains during the first month as well, which is another sign of healing.
