Plan: Atkins-ish, post-WLS
Stats: 408.0/288.0/168.0 Male 72 inches
BF:
Progress: 50%
Location: Southern Colorado, USA
Default Day 32 - AWO #14

EXERCISE: Stationary Bike
TIME: 20 min
SPEED: 12.1 mph
DISTANCE: 4.04 miles
CALORIES: 125 kcal
PEAK HR: 177 bpm

Slowed the target speed to 12 mph but raised the floors of the intervals from resistance level 4 to 6 to partially compensate. Was primarily interested to see what it did for my heart rate. As expected, it dropped somewhat and was lower than when I started at this speed but a lower resistance level floor, so I call that progress.

My natural pace was up at or above 13 mph most of the time, so I just went with it. I increased the intensity on the ramp-up of each interval just a bit.

TIME: 20 min
SPEED: 13.3 mph

I pushed for a target of 13 mph and was able to maintain it even through out the final High Point (which I call the Hell Point).

I pushed for a target of 14 mph and that was actually going pretty good. But my heart just wasn't in it tonight.

Upped the resistance levels significantly and lowered the target speed to 13 mph. My peak heart rate was actually just a bit less than before. The last ride seemed harder in many ways, but this one seemed like a better workout. Perhaps that is because it is more even throughout, similar to jogging, and less like interval-training. That may or may not be a good thing.

Today was more of a struggle, but it appears to I pretty well matched the last performance, so I'll take it without any complaints.
