Default newby who needs help

Hi: I am a newby who just registered today and am interested in losing approximately 35 pounds or so the low carb way. I am visually impaired so it is difficult to do any research by buying all the different books out there. I am looking for a plan which allows me to have things like cottage cheese, nuts and fruits(not Atkins) I would really apppreciate some assistance. I use a computer with speech and find this site difficult in some areas. Sorry if I have posted in the wrong area.

Hi, Parrots, and welcome.

I'm not too sure how to provide any assistance with your speech-assisted computer research on low-carb, but I have requested some help for you from our best people (said with a smile).

Hopefully, they will be along shortly to assist you in navigating the information you might need, such as the Low Carb Plans Comparison article entitled "Which low-carb plan is right for me?", which is one of the items listed under "Quick Links:" on the right of the screen, if that's any help.

Good luck to you.

Sounds like the Schwarzbein Principal plan would fit the bill.

If you let me know what areas you find difficult, I'll see if I can help. We can setup a different template with less graphics. Just give me more details, and I'll see what I can do.

If you go to a Curves for Women gym, they have a low carb diet that you can follow where you can eat all of those things. The book is called Permanent Results without Permanent Dieting. It is similar to Atkins BUT, you get more variety of food. I have been following it for 6 months and have lost 34 pounds so far.
Good Luck
Donna
