Default Does fitday subtract fiber???

Fitday questions: I just added in a food in the customized section being that i didnt find it in the food list. The nutrition facts on the box of the item i want to add says Total carb:7, dietary fiber: 4. So that would be a 3 gram carb count according to my knowledge. However, when i added that one serving to my foods eaten today, it listed 7 grams of carb for that food item, so i went back and adjusted the total carb count to 3, added it to my foods eaten today, and now it says 3 grams of carbs for that item. Any comments on this? (the item is Atkins cornbread/muffin mix).
Also, ive seen the letters next to some foods, "NFS" or "NS", could someone tell me what those letters stand for? thanks

Fitday does not automatically subtract fiber-it does list it, though right under the carb count. I just subtract it in my head. I want to be able to see the fiber count, to make sure I am getting enough fiber.

Yes, Fitday lists total carbs, then fiber ... up in the "Calories Eaten Today" chart. However, the "Today's Foods" list, it will just show total carbs. Be aware that Fitday does subtract the fiber before calculating calories .. if you look beside the fiber count, you'll see that it shows 0 calories listed, and if you do the math, the calories listed for carbs is for the net or ECC, after fiber grams have been subtracted.

For example .. if your total carbs for the day is 30 grams, with 10 g fiber, Fitday will show 80 calories from carbs (not 120).

Doreen
