Default Doctor's Visit

I went to my doctor today, first time since starting LC in February. (Actually, first time in over a year, but that's a long story.) He did notice the weight loss, and when he asked what I was doing I just said "Atkins."

Paused for a moment (and I thought I was about to get flamed), then said "are you watching your nutrients?" "Yep." "Then keep it up, it's obviously working."

My blood pressure is down (REALLY down!), and I am apparently in terrific health (all things considered). He took me OFF one of my BP meds, and confirmed that I'm doing all right on half my acid reducer dosage!

I still want to be prescription-free by the end of this year, and when I mentioned that goal to him, he said essentially, "if it's possible, you'll see it."

Wow, I'm so happy for you! Feels soooo good, right? I know because I had my "doctor good news" this week, too.
Congratulations! Great to know that we're doing the right thing.
Take care!
Alina

I'll bet that felt good. I think you'll be greatly surprised at how ou feel and what medications you can eliminate, once you get your weight down. Thanks for sharing that encouraging experience!

Good Luck Continuing!

You'll do it.

I'm down from 12 meds to 2 in one year, and I was a heart patient with a triple bypass in my history. Your task should be easier.

I am VERY happy for you.

Congratulations! What wonderful benefits you're seeing in addition to the weight loss. Not only will you feel better without having to take medications, you'll be saving $$ too. Keep up the good work.
God Bless,

Great job! AND every doctor who sees results like yours will have to reevaluate his opinion on Atkins! Helps all of us!
