As I understand it, Vitamin C is a water soluble vitamin which means, IIRC, that any excess your body doesn't use is flushed out in your urine.

Absolutely, extra vitamin C won't hurt you at all. It is water soluble, so it won't build up in your body causing any problems. High dosages of vitamin C have even proved beneficial in boosting the imune system among other things.
God Bless,

Since Vitamin C is water soluble, you lose it everytime you pee. Your body can only use Vit C in small amouths throughout the day, so if you want to get the most of Vit C take smaller doses (250mg-500mg) several times a day instead of one big does. Int he big dose you are only got in use a small amout and the rest is going down the toliet.

Hi all,

I think KellyG5 is right about vit. C. It is water soluable and if you drink huge quantities of water, as most of us here seem to do, it is flushed out of your body. The same thing applies to B complex.

If you take whatever vitamins you take in the morning after breakfast, you might want to consider taking additional B and C later in the day or in the evening.

Extra Vitamin C is a must if you smoke too.
