Default not sleeping well..

I'm having this problem for sometime now. Doc. prescibed some sleep aid. it worked and next day I would feel terrible. I tried having a warm 1/2 cup of milk. That helps a bit in way that I get very short duration sleep. Serotonin depleled ?? I consume a lot
green veggies, total carb around 80/100 grm per day.

I don't want carb induced serotonin for temporary boost..
Is is the ecoisanoids blance...help please...

Please share your thoughts..

I swear by a calcium pill taken with milk, ( cream and water now), about 1/2 hour before you go to bed.

Give it a try it'll do no harm, but I've told several people how it works for me, and most report back with the same results.

Default So, are you saying...

the sleep problem started with the low carb diet? It doesn't seem like your carbs are low enough to cause a sleep problem, but on the other hand, you are probably not in ketosis. I have noticed in the past that I would have sleep probelms when I did low calorie and usually on low carb, I have none.

Have you tried the new sleep aid Ambien? It usually works without any side effects the next day. It is by prescription.

You could try valerian root too. Are you having trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep?

It could be the time of year also. Are you getting outside any during the day?

I know, very intimately, what it is like to not sleep well! Hopefully you will get something here that helps.

PS: I'm having problem falling asleep quickly... once asleep it does not last longer.. also dream a lot..
