Default Dinner ideas tried and true 5 ingredients or less

Share your best ideas! I'm a newbie, so I don't have too much!

Classic salad:
1. romaine
2. chicken
3. Italian dressing
4. feta cheese
5. diced peppers

Cheesy Chicken and Broccoli
1. grilled chicken breast
2. frozen broccoli
3. cheddar cheese

Omlete
1. 3 eggs
2. crumbled bacon
3. mozzarella cheese
4. Frank's hot sauce

A big steak-rare w/lots of fat! But you can have it anyway you like
salad w/my homemade dressings

Buffalo wings
1- Chicken wings
2- Frank's Red Hot Sauce
3- Butter

Twice baked cauliflower casserole
1-Cauliflower
2-Cream cheese
3-Butter
4-Cheddar cheese

Egg salad
1-Hard boiled eggs
2-Celery
3-Mayo
4-Mustard
5-Paprika

Strawberry yogurt (not for induction)
1-Full fat yogurt
2-Mashed up strawberries
3-Splenda
4-Touch of vanilla extract

(For strawberry shortcake, leave out vanilla, put in cream instead of yogurt... yum)

Those are my quickies.

BLT Roll-ups:
  • large romaine leaf
  • chopped tomato
  • double-smoked thick-sliced bacon, almost crisp
  • mayonnaise
  • freshly ground pepper and sea salt
Fried Egg Sandwich:
  • large romaine leaf
  • chopped tomato
  • fried egg as you like it (mine is 'medium', with an almost-cooked yolk)
  • mayonnaise
  • freshly ground pepper and sea salt
Quick Chowder:
  • whole clam meat (small size) or 1 can baby clams
  • sauteed onion
  • whipping cream
  • mace or nutmeg, freshly ground white or green pepper and sea salt
  • cubed cooked purple-top turnip or daikon
Hungry Woman Meal:
  • New York strip loin - range fed
  • green peppercorns
  • whipping cream
  • mushrooms (with some porcini any way I can get it if I feel luxurious) and butter
  • mace, freshly ground black pepper and sea salt
Mom's Dutch Meatballs (Gehakt met Endive):
  • half-pound each of ground pork and lean beef
  • fresh head of curly endive
  • whipping cream
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1-2 ounces of crushed pork rinds
  • nutmeg, freshly ground black pepper and sea salt
The Dish with No Name:
  • head of cauliflower, steamed and mashed
  • roasted garlic bulb
  • whipping cream
  • edam and gouda cheeses, grated
  • freshly ground white pepper
In a Hurry Greens Fix:
  • 10 ounce box of frozen spinach, cooked or thawed and drained
  • 3 veggie-fed free-range yummy large eggs
  • cultured butter
  • freshly ground black pepper and sea salt
Chili-Garlic Green Beans:
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • chili paste and several garlic cloves
  • chopped fresh tomato
Hmmmph. It seems I'm pretty sentimental about the traditional Dutch seasonings of pepper, nutmeg and mace

tacos (okay, 6 ingredients)
La Tortilla LC tortilla
steak strips seasoned w/ taco seasoning and cayenne
non-vinegar based hot sauce (Pico pica)
scallions
cilantro
eat with a radish (red or daikon) to put out fire!
and don't forget the fresh lime juice!

top sirloin Steak w/ cheese veggies
I recommend cauliflower and brocolli
with Ragu double cheddar cheese sauce
and a touch of butter...

cheesy meatballs
ground beef
cheese
chopped onion
garlic salt, red pepper
rolled into balls and baked or fried.
My BF makes them and they are sooo good!

shrimp (or chicken) alfredo
shrimp (deveined)
cream
freshly grated parmesan cheese
garlic powder
parsley (optional)

"hamburger"
1 burger pattie
loads of cheddar, mozz, feta, etc
sauted mushrooms
LC bread, bun or bagel (optional)

with "fries"
turnips
seasonings
julienned
and baked or fried!

Flaxomeal
purchased or homemade
cream
extra fruit or flavorings
and butter
mmmm, mmmm!

stuffed steak
top sirloin, cut a slit lengthwise in center
saute in olive oil: fresh sage, pine nuts, parsley, scallions, garlic
stuff them into cavern in steak
season (fresh pepper, pepper, pepper)
cook till edible (med-rare)
so tender and delish!

Couldn't seem to stop some of them at 5, but it's just as easy because I grab a handful of whatever is in the veggie drawer!
