Default Mood swings

I'm going into my third month on atkins. Lost 15lbs and up to 30C a day. A typical Day is 2 egg omelett with cheese. Lunch is a salad with tuna. Supper is meat 2cups of cooked veggies and a salad to start. I take a supplement and a cal/mag every morning. I have never had mood swings before but in the last three weeks its been incredible I feel like I'm on a roller coaster.
One minute down to the point of crying the next back to normal only to be plumeting again. Am I missing something in my diet? I have also noticed my energy levels getting lower and lower which is unlike me. I have been off all caffine products since I started and I sleep like a log at night. I wish I could blame it on the time of the month but thats consistent as well. Don't know what to think. Any suggestion?

How about SAD? That's a depression that's due to the lack of light in the winter. Since you're not self-medicating with carbs (SAD makes you crave carbs) you might be feeling the effects more. Also February is the worst month for SAD and many people who don't normally suffer, do suffer from SAD then. SAD sufferers don't have sufficient hormone and serotonin levels to stay on level emotional ly and can have wide swings depending if the day is sunny or cloudy.
