1. mood swings the first 2 days...I could have killed somebody...
2. dizzy
3. body temperature stabilized, no freezing or sweating like before
4. dry mouth only first 2 days...
5. Kidney pains which scared me...cut on eggs and the pain was gone.

But now I feel great!!! Hope you do, too!

I guess I'm one of the odd ones out because I feel so much better now on my 12th day! All my symptoms were pre-Atkins, now they've all gone. I can truly say that I have had some form of headache everyday of my adult life (I'm 45) and I have been headache free since day 3. I have not taken a Tylenol or a sinus pill since I started and that is an amazing thing! I have recruited 2 people to Atkins just because of that! If I never lose another pound, I will stay on the WOE because I don't want to go back there! I have lost 7 pounds so far! I hope everyone gets through these problems, I really haven't had any other than a little bowel trouble the first week.

Take care, Jane

Smile Hi all

When I first started my induction, I was getting headaches in the afternoon and I also had that metalic taste in my mouth. I upped my water and made sure I brushed my teeth twice a day and that got rid of most of it... that or I'm used to it
The only odd thing I'm experiencing now is a red blotchy face, which has me baffled. I'm on day 20.

Default I have...

I have seen this on the forum so I know it is from my Atkins WOL...But I have hair loss...I am just glad that I have plenty to spare!...I can now wear regular pony tail holders!

I did not have any of the withdrawls everyone is speaking of
but I had the kidney pains...metalic taste in my mouth...infrequent BM's, urine odor.

This has not effected my sleep...

But I feel great now!!

Julie

My experiances with Induction:

First 4 days:

1) Mood Swing (Totally paranoid, and an jerk)
2) Super Cravings and hunger for sugar/flour
3) Tired (Due to no sugar)
4) Noticeable Pee color change
5) Shakes

After 4 days (BDK):

1) Super reversed mood swing (Ambitious, and happy)
2) Energy boost (Could run a marathon)
3) Less need for sleep
4) Constant feeling of heat all over. I can literally feel fat metabolising
5) Not hungry

ColbyJaX....

I was laughing tears reading your words about "feeling fat metabolism"...that is SO true.
I fell warmer too, but not sweaty...I think I really can feel the fat melting...no kiddin'.
The great thing is, as you say, you feel almost too good...I have so much energy now I don't know what to do...well, almost

Take care!

Alina

Default For Bad Breath

I purchased the Tanita Breath Alert, go to Tanita.com website .

It is small enough to fit in the palm of your hands and you can check when you think that your breath is unbearable. It goes from 1 -5 dots, the higher the worst your breath smells. Helps a lot.

The 2nd thing I purchased, was a tongue scrapper (metal made of stainless steel), much better than the plastic ones. You will be surprised the stuff you get off the back of your tongue, especially after you eat chocolate. That, brushing between meals and using the above keeps me at a #2.

The Tanita Breath Alert ran about $40. The tongue scraper (stainless steel) ran about $20.00.

Have a great day and Let's get on with our journey..."To Health"

You too!

I thought I was the only one feeling this way. Sometimes in the middle of the night I have to throw the covers off of me, and in NY you know it has been chilly lately.

I feel like I am in a furnace for about 5 minutes, then it subsides. It happens once or twice during the night.

Now I expect for it to happen if I take a Cayanne capsule, it also makes you burn your fat.

Also, has anyone experienced their body fat changes, it seems you can feel yourself and can feel a shift in the body fat, but no changes show on the scale. Anyone experienced this?

I'm pretty much cold all the time now, and I go to sleep with socks on. But every morning when I wake up, I find my socks on the other side of the room!? What's going on here? I used to have cold hands and feet, but that's gone; I'm just cold all over now! I'm also experiencing acne breakouts in my 5th week of induction! I'm attributing that to the higher fat intake, but I really don't know if that's what's really causing it. Other than that, I have no bloating, no acid reflux, no joint pains, blood pressure lowered and stabilized, back and knee pains about 80% gone, sleeping much better and not have to get up in the middle of the night to pee, I'm a lot nicer now since I'm feeling so good about myself.

well I have all of the above and a few more, The palpatations at night, cold shivers, constipation, and boy the dry mouth is awful, this is what happened when I first did the induction back in september, and now every time I try and start again, I think of the terrible side effects and it gives me the shudders. But I have got a couple of good books I am about to start reading all about low carb eating.I hope this will give me the boost I need to start.

I'm having NO headaches, a relief since I've always had headaches. But I am cold all the time. I've had to take a heating pad to bed!

Interested in Patty's comment about breaking out. I've also experienced this but thought it might be due to running outside in the frigid Massachusetts weather.
