Default Soy powder, soy flour?

Hello all,

I've been looking at the recipe section and noticed that some call for soy powder, some for soy flour, and some for soy protein powder (some call for a combination).

I'm familiar with protein powder and with soy flour, but what's soy powder? is it the same as soy protein powder? I'm confused!

Thanks!

Joanna

From what I can tell, soy powder & soy flour are the same thing. Maybe they call it a "powder" because it ia not a flour in the traditional sense?(grain) I've never seen the powder AND flour sold in the same bulk food store.

Hi,
I read somewhere that soy flour is made from uncooked soybeans and the powder is made from cooked soybeans. Apparently the powder has less of a bean taste but I have not yet been able to find soy powder in order to compare.
