Frank's Red Hot is my favorite of the pepper sauces. I use it in place of ketchup (even before I started LC'ing!) I found a food-service supply store in WA that carries it in gallon jugs.

I also make great chicken wings by mixing this sauce with butter and dunking. Yum!

Skamito....I do mine the same way. First I deep fry the chicken wings, then dunk them in a combination of 1 part butter to 2 parts Franks hot sauce. To die for!

Default Frank's for Buffalo Wings!

Congratulations on your good taste. Not only is Frank's the best hot sauce (IMHO) but it is the one true sauce for Buffalo Wings, by virtue of being produced by Frank and Theresa of Anchor Bar fame...the birthplace of Buffalo Wings.

Although the Anchor Bar fries their wings, I learned how to make wings in the oven from a Buffalo, NY native who would use only Frank's hot sauce tempered with a little butter to coat the wings afterwards. Two shakes of tabasco gives it extra kick. Marie's Blue Cheese Dressing (with extra blue sprinkled in) and celery sticks completes this finger-licking feast. In fact I had some for Superbowl Sunday while I was on Induction, and I still lost weight!

I think I'll make some for dinner tomorrow night and watch the Grammy Awards, and dream about having Christina Aguilera's abs. Hey, I'm working on it!

Mobster...

Most grocery store chains should carry it and if they don't they should be publicly flogged.
Check in the condiments section of the grocery (by the ketchup, mustard, etc...).

LOL...after 3 babies, my abs will NEVER look like hers (at least not without some serious plastic surgery), but we can always dream, can't we?

It probably doesn't have enough carbs or calories to bother about. Especially since you are just splashing it on your food. If you wanted to be really safe, count it as one carb.

Look at my Hot Foom Wings recipe in Main Dishes. It uses Franks sauce, and is an oven-bake recipe. Enjoy!

Mobster... they carry it at Albertsons. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find it at Publix.

You may also find it under the Durkee name. Same company, same sauce. In FL they use to always sell it under the Durkee name, been buying it here that way for almost 20 years. Recently they changed it to Franks. If you find Durkee, you will see the "frank's" story on the back label. Good luck!

It is the best hot sauce for making wings. Not too vingerary or too hot. Also, put some Garlic paste in the mix for some extra pizazz. (Garlic paste is also sometimes called California style minced garlic.)

Hope this helps.

Default I finally lucked out on SOMETHING!!

You'll never guess where I found some Franks!!

In my fridge!

Turns out DH has/had been using it in jambalya for along time!

Basted a chicken in it about half an hour ago!
