Well, I know of some stuff we have here in the states, but I don't know if you do. Of course, you would want the unsweetened version of all of these options:

hemp milk
almond milk
coconut milk (not the kind in cans, but in the milk section in cartons)

And look in the health section, where they sell all the organic potato chips. (I know, an oxymoron..)

Also, look where they sell milk that's in cartons that doesn't need to be refrigerated. Sometimes you find things in the oddest places.. I just use cream, so I don't really deal with it, but I have seen almond milk in those places.

There is also a recipe for Zucchini milk. Yes, the veggie.

ZUCCHINI MILK

Read more about it at http://www.cooks.com/rec/view/0,195...-237203,00.html

Zucchini (over abundance)

Pare zucchini, remove seeds if large, cut into 1 inch chunks and process or blend. (Fill 1/4 full.) Blend until liquid is thick and white.

Two small zucchini (10 ounces pared) equals approximately 1 cup "milk". Freeze and use as milk substitute in bread, meat loaf, biscuits, etc. (Freeze 2/3 full.) See: Zucchini Bread Pudding.

I hope this helps.. =)

Thanks for the recipe, believe me I've looked in every local supermarket and small stores I could find there are no unsweetened products other than soy.
I did find hemp milk and oat milk but none of it was unsweetened, same goes with coconut milk, almond milk is scarce in the UK.

I have also looked on many websites and I still can't find anything, I can only find these products on US websites :/

Also Isn't a zucchini the same thing as a courgette?

I'm also in the UK. Have you seen lactofree? It's in the chiller cabinet with the normal milk, white & green carton with a cow face on it. It's normal milk with the lactose removed. They also make a range of lacto free cream & cheeses. I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post a link, but I'll try.

yes I'am aware of the lactofree products but at 2.5 carbs per 100ml that's still a bit steep, although there cheese is quite good.

Don't think you will get milk any lower than the lactofree. I can't drink tea without a little milk, but I'm finding the lactofree is suitable for me as I only have a teaspoon or two in a cuppa.

Soy Milk is just about bearable in tea, but it curdles horribly in coffee. I'm not keen on the taste either, so I'll stick with lactofree which tastes ok. Good luck with your search!

Hood milk is good too. Especially the chocolate! Like 2-3 carbs a serving!

I was not really a believer until i tried them. Try the almond milk and the unsweetened almond milk. These two types of milk are much lower than the real deal and still actual taste good. Not like white colored water they try to pass off as soy milk/rice milk.

Like I've already said.. It's near impossible to find almond milk here in the UK, and the only almond milk I've found is £3 a liter which is £2 more expensive per liter than anything else.

Agreed. The Calorie Countdown milk (regular and chocolate) from Hood is the best !
