Smile Good New After Yesterdays Panic

First of all thanks to everyone that helped my through my ketosis crisis. Finally, after all my worrying about not losing anything - or the up and down antics of my fickle scale I appear to be down 4 lbs this morning . This would be after 13 days of induction - there were some days that it looked like I was down a pound or two and in the beginning I was not accepting it because I had seen too many people go up and down and be disappointed so I thought I would be calm and wait till I was 3 days down before accepting it. Of course on the 4th day it went back up and then 5th day down and so on and so on. I guess the only thing to keep in mind is that each down was a little more down than before so today I am claiming that 4 lbs because I want so much for it to be true

Default Happy to hear it!

Good for you! I'm happy to hear after your struggle your weight finally budged.

I am having the same crisis. I have been on induction for 12 days now. I lost 4lbs in the first 3 days and the scales have been stuck since then.

I had been weighing myself every day so the AM I didn't!

Monday AM is the official weigh day and I am going to try to stay off the scale until then.

I'm thinking about staying on induction for a 3rd week.

Stay strong!

Hi Lindae,

You stay strong too,

Your stats are similar to mine, those of us with only 20 or so pounds to lose do seem to lose more slowly but it's all relative. Someone who has a lot more to lose has more dramatic results at the beginning but slows down as they approach their goal.

I find it discouraging to not have the same amazing results as some of the heavier people. I mean what a fantasy to think of losing all our weight in a few days, wouldn't that be a dream .

Hiding that scale is a good idea. If you can't hide it then always remember that if we are up and have not strayed from the plan its probably fluid and not to panic (not sure but think you're female by name) and as women, our fluid levels are as fickle as our scales.

Hang in there, remember too that when we don't have a lot to lose every pound gone is really noticeable.

Ya~y Koko! Hang in there girl! We're all different, so I try not to get down on myself for not losing as fast as other people. Sure and steady is the way to go!

Default Congratulations!

Way to go and way to hang in there! I saw the thread last night on those darn sticks but ended up not reading it. My husband and I started 3 weeks ago (officially one week ago b/c we didn't do it right the first 2 weeks, argh!). I had been checking with the sticks about twice a week and have been basically purple the whole time. Well, lo and behold, I checked this morning and practically no color! Needless to say, I went back and read every single post! What a relief to read what other's have discovered! I'm thinking my color has changed because it's my TOM. I think if I just concentrate on sticking with my carb limit I should do just fine.
