My only possible advice is: Step away from the peanuts!

Remember when you used to crave sugar and carbs? Remember how cutting them out of your diet was the only way to control those cravings? I'm afraid to tell you... peanuts are no good for you.

It is not surprising that you're having this reaction. Peanuts are technically legumes and should be treated with caution. Peanuts are also a common allergen, so you may have an intolerance to them that causes this reaction.

I hate to tell you... but you knew it was coming. You're going to have to give up the peanuts.

Nuts are a problem for a lot of us... the quantities are definitely hard to control. If you really can't stop eating them when you start, you have not start.

Sorry.

Best to you.

Angela

Default Yummy peanut butter

I found the Atkins Peanut butter bars are good and they only have 2g of carbs! Plus sometimes you can find low carb peanut butter cups in health food/diabetic stores. Good luck!

Couple of suggestions from the person on this forum who won't give up chocolate.

First - eat better low carb nuts like macadamian, pecans, walnuts or almonds.

Second - you can have one teaspoonful of almond butter after you finish a full meal or after you finish a full glass of water. But never as a snack on its own.

Third - put serving sizes in little baggies and only allow one a day

Just some thoughts from the person with lc brownie and biscotti in her freezer. LOL

I agree with everything that Angela said. If you can't control them, they gotta go. I'm one of those people who had to kick them out of my life. My problem was cashews.

Peanuts are also high in molds so people who have candida can't eat them. Put another way, addictions to them can also indicate mold sensitivity on top of the others already mentioned.

As I've said before: "This is the peanut police! Put the peanuts down and come out with your hands up!".

Now I must find a good substitute for my calories hehe

Default well

I tell you I worked in a peanut butter packing house one summer, it was quite awful and I will only share a few of the details as it may help you with your problem. Imagine loads of happy peanuts uprooted from their plant in nice warm southern soil, jammed into crowded packing crates with no water for days. Then they arrive at the plant....steam bellows out of tall blackened stacks, trucks everywhere, noise and confusion. The starving little nuts are heaved onto conveyors and slowly moved into the .... into.... into the CRUSHING room! hundreds no THOUSANDS of stainless steel crushers...oh the screams of all those nuts...I will never forget it, I will never eat peanut butter again..The crunching..the fading nut pleas for help....I'm currently in a nut 12 step program.

If anything is preventing you from reaching your goal, or is something you cannot control, you should really totally avoid it until you master it. Have you considered deeper seated problems? Perhaps you are simply using peanuts as a crutch?
