Unhappy help,fell off program

I need help. I had been doing Atkins since before Christmas and had only lost 5 pounds. The other night I got called into work extra and didn't have time to make my dinner and since then I have been off of the program. I feel guilty but I am so discouraged I don't know whether to try again or not. One of the things I wonder about is if the medications I have to take are affecting my loses but it doesn't specifically say in my Atkins book.
help.

Why did not having time to make your dinner through you off? No foods that could have worked in a pinch at work? Minus the bun or something. Maybe you she keep some ready made things handy for situations just like this. Beefy jerky, nuts, cream cheese, thos "dreaded" Atkins bars. Sometime you must just from the lesser of the precieved evils!

Hi TAWNYA,

Losing 5 lbs is bettetr than losing nothing. Have stuff like cold meats and cheese ready for emergencies and start again. If you are taking medications it may slow the weight loss down - but it should still be possible. If you want to tell us what medications you are on maybe someone could give you their own experiences to compare.

Come on - back on induction

Robert

Just b/c you stumbled a bit does not mean you have failed! Five pounds is five pounds! We all have stumbled and come up again stronger than ever!

Make your next meal a lo carb meal and w/in a week you will be back where you started. Now you know where potential weakness lies and just make sure to keep some lo carb snacks available for emergencies like the other nite.

Don't quit now!

I also am in a similar situation: I am doing Atkins for the 2nd time-- I am starting tomorrow and today I had a couple pieces of pumpkin cake and feel like a big slob! Should I just start tomorrow LCing, or should I do some sort of fast and start on thursday? Thanks!
