When I called Atkins hotline they said to only have 2-3 eggs a day. I asked them about the liberally listed and they said to limit them though and obviously count the carbs.

I am confused

That is just a recommendation due to the the fact that i'm sure a lot of folks aren't aware that eggs have carbs.

Note: They didn't say this was a health issue only make sure to count the carbs.

Relax...Its the only thing we really have to count here....

If you have room for more carbs in a day and you want eggs... I SAY EAT EGGS.

I think it's all in how you define "liberal". For most, 2-3 eggs a day would be quite liberal compared to recommendations from years past. Keep in mind also that liberal use does not mean unlimited use.

Thumbs up Great thread!

I'm so happy to have discovered this thread! I, too, have wondered if eating 4+ whole eggs in one day would be a problem.

Now I know I can relax and enjoy them

Thanks for all the GREAT information!!!

Happy LCing!

Default I love my eggs!!

I have been buying arround three dozen eggs a week. I cook for the family so I am not eating all 36 eggs but I am eating MOST of them!!! I think they are the perfect self contained LC food.

I'm eating 2-3 eggs at least every day. Yum, and as others have said as long as you count the carbs.... Good eating.

I eat about 2-4 eggs a day. I usually fry 2-3 of them and I usually use 1 hardboiled one in my salad.

If you really feel too self conscious about eggs

I would break 2 eggs and use 1 yolk

I average around 4-5 eggs per day
some days 3 days...
