Default Pepperoni sticks

Hi Everyone...
I have been eating these pepperoni sticks as a snack, I only looked at the carbs before, and depensing on the flavor, they range from 0.5-0.9g per stick...acceptable. Today I read the ingredients. They are (as they appear on the package)ork, beef, spices, corn syrup solids, salt, soya protien isolate, sodium phosphate, sodium erythorbatw, sodim nitrate

I was wondering what you thought of those as a snack, I have put in bold the ingredients I am concerned about. I would hate to give them up, but I will if they are not acceptable on this WOE. Please asvise me on this ASAP. I would be really dissapointed to know that I have been hurting myself these past couple weeks.

Heather

If your weight loss stalls, consider dropping them. They are loaded with salt, some sugar, highly processed - all things that tend to stall weight loss. If your loss continues, don't worry.

I carry these in my back pack for when I'm hungry and can't or don't want to bother trying to find something to eat until I get home. I work in health care (I notice you do, too) and work at 2 hospitals, so they're great when I need something going from one job to another.

I've only been LCing for 3 weeks, but have lost 12 lbs (as of day 18), so far the sticks haven't held me back.

I would agree with Freydis - if they aren't causing you to stall, I wouldn't worry about it too much. You have to put it in perspective and consider how much processed stuff you ate in the past..............and even with the sticks you are consuming far less bad stuff. Processed meats of any sort seem to cause stalls for a lot of people so I try to limit them but not eliminate them. I like bacon, sausages, potted meat stuff, and those pepperoni sticks you are talking about. I just try to make sure I am not eating it everyday. That's the great thing about this way of life, it is really about moderation and not totally eliminating anything. The tiny bit in those sticks probably won't affect you in the least and if it helps you stay on the plan - it is well worth it! Cindi

I am going to return the second bag I bought and not have them for a week. My weight loss has seemed to stall and I am afraid to pull out those Ketostix and do the deed. Wish me luck!
