Unhappy Why hidden carbs???

I have a question. I have been reading a lot from this site, and i keep seeing where people say to stay away from the bars because of hidden carbs. I know from experience what the carbolite chocolate chip cookies can do. Believe me !

Why would they put hidden carbs in something knowing that we are all trying to cut back on carbs??? Why would they do such a horrible things to us????
Anyhoo. The reason i ask is because i am past induction and because of my always being hungry it was suggested to me to raise my carb level a little. SO i wanted to try some of the muffins mixes, but...... I am afraid to because of those. HIDDEN CARBS!!!!!
I am having a hard time getting my carbs up.
Thanks,

Pokey,

Have you considered upping your carbs by adding extra servings of vegetables? Or how about some cottage cheese? Or a bowl of plain yogurt with Da Vinci syrup or some jello powder stirred in to flavor it? All of these things are likely to be more filling than a little faux muffin, and there are no hidden carbs to worry about.

Just a thought.

PS -- The yogurt recommendation is based on the GO-Diet suggestion that you can subtract 8 grams of carb per cup of plain, active culture yogurt because the active cultures turn those carbs into lactic acid.

Default Not craving

I was just wondering why they would put hidden carbs in such things . I dont crave any of those things but it would be nice to have a muffin now and then i guess.
I am going to go shopping and getting some cottage cheese and the such, I have been on induction since the 2nd of Jan. I am just have these hunger pains no matter how much i eat. Not hungry just pains and growling. And someone suggested adding a bit more carbs. So far the highest I have gone since 01/02 is 24. I just wanted to have something different thats all.

Ladybug... you asked about the yogurt laws. I posted a good article about this recently.

Here's the thread:

Eat that full fat yogurt!
