Thanks for the "heads up" on this. Let's see if he gets a fair platform there. So far I've been less than impressed with the people interviewing him.

I'll be sure to watch!

Did anyone watch "Pulse" last night? I watched the first part, but company came before I found out the results of the three people trying to lose weight-- one on the "Zone", one on an exercise program, and one on Atkins.

Default I watched it....

The show was pretty fair...MUCH better than the View bunch that have to talk over each other as they jostle for the camera!

The Pulse was more in depth, but they still had the facts wrong most of the time. At least they gave the Atkins representative the opportunity to tell them how wrong they were.

The person on the Zone came out as the "winner" only because she(?)said she would definitely stay on it after this experiment. The guy doing Atkins decided he couldn't keep with it (after losing something like 17 lbs). He didn't like giving up his beer and was cheating with french fries and stuff.

The girl doing the exercise was really happy with her results, but everyone agreed she needed the exercise PLUS a diet.

I thought it went great. Donahue impressed me, and even seemed a little biased to me in favor of Atkins. He seemed a little reluctant to bring up the common faux criticisms of the diet (bad breath, kidney disease, etc...), and demonstrated a lot of respect for Dr. Atkins. At least that was my take on it.

For those who missed the Donahue show, like me , here's the transcript:

And an MSNBC article on the episode:
