Thanks again everyone!!

I got some L-glutamine and some vitamin minus the iron so I think I'm set to go.

Today is my first day and I feel great. It usually doesn't get hard until the 3rd or 4th day for me.

I had my usual coffee this morning with a little bit of powdered creamer 1 carb for 1 tsp and some sausage and eggs. Lunch is going to be tuna fish/mayo/pickle/onion/egg. Dinner will be tacos with out the shell.

I know this seems like a dumb question but what exactly is tacos without the shell?

Just to make things more confusing...I find chromium helps waaaaay more than L-glutamine for cravings.

Yes, cabbage is fine as long as you're carefully counting the carbs.

im on my 4th day with atkins and all i want to do is eat a piece of bread!!! but the water really does help with cravings, it fills the belly pretty well. also i try to remember that pretty much any craving lasts around 5 minutes so i just tough it out until i forget that i want it and i am doing ok.

Default Craving sweets

I use Whipped Cream- not Cool Whip. The kind in the spray can. Check the brand. No carbs. No suger. I either eat it right out of the can or put it on diet jello. Also, after about 10 days on the inductin diet, your cravings should just about be over.

Whipped cream in the can DOES have both carbs and sugar. Not much, granted, but enough to count it. If your can says otherwise, it is because the amount is not required to be reported BY LAW, not because it contains no carbs.

Default Avoidance

Maybe avoiding the aisles of a store with all those temptations in it will help.
I try to mentally picture a when I pass those aisles.
They also have those candy stands in checkout lines, so tunnel vision can be useful there also.

It's your body and your life. I, myself, am doing Atkins to get OFF of drugs and be healthier. If you think Xenadrine does that for you, more power to you.
