Default induction results continue?

If you continue on Induction after the first inital 2 weeks, can you expect to have the same level of weight loss or does it slowly curtail the longer you stay on Induction.

For example, I lost 10lbs on Induction, if I continue can I expect to lose another 10lbs?

Thanks!

I wish that would be true!! No your weightloss slows down a lot!!! I've stayed at induction levels for 3 months so far and have lost 33lbs ( I lost 16 on induction).

Patience - we didn't gain it in a short time, we won't lose it in a short time either. So keep at it, you will be at your goal before you know it!!

I think Atkins is a genius, love his plan BUT one of the major drawbacks is induction. Coming from a high-carb diet to 30 grams a day would undoubtedly give you the same results as induction, a la Protein Power.

The problem is, folks think that it's the induction level that gives them spectacular weight loss. So they continue on with 20 grams a day. They become fearful and living in a state of fear over what you eat is downright nasty.

Learn to expand your horizons and really enjoy eating. Add in a tomato or an onion.

Weight loss is rarely consistent on a downward curve. Up, down, down, up, flatline, up, down, etc. It's all part of the process.

So is there really a benefit by staying on Induction or should one just go on to ongoing-weight-loss? Your rate of loss *should* still be higher on 20g/day shouldn't it?
