Default ..Mushroom Question..?

Hi! ... this question is for you "freeze my food- people" or Karen....

Looked for mushrooms in the frozen section, none to be found..... asked at the grocery store ....no one knows....

My Question, Can I freeze raw mushrooms to be used at a later date??

Thank you,

Default Mushrooms??

Hello,
I think you'd find them to be very watery after being frozen, if fresh ones are a hassle for you, try some dried varieties, however, check out the carbs. Good Luck

Yes you can freeze them, but they have to be cooked before freezing. You will not beileve the misery a mushroom can be if frozen raw...

Saute them in butter or oil, season with salt and pepper, cool and freeze in small portions in ziploc bags. You can add them frozen or partially thawed to whatever you are making.
