Default I miss making bread...

I can deal with hardly ever eating it, and having to eat different kinds than before, but I miss MAKING it.

Does anyone have experience with the recipe on this link ? http://www.lowcarbluxury.com/recipe...pe-bread28.html

It's got appeal because at least I'd get to knead it the once!

I haven't made that recipe, but I have tried some of Kevinpa's bread recipes with great success. My problem is that I really have to avoid grains, but if I have bread around the house, I'll eat it. I don't have any family to eat it for me!

Here is a link to another forum where Kevinpa has his recipes, since I couldn't find them here:

Here's a link to his current journal, where you will also find some of his recipes, although I didn't see his most recent bread recipes there:

HTH!

You can make a real loaf and give it to friends. I used to bake bread daily and share. People go nuts over freshly baked bread (little wonder, it's highly addictive).

Thanks, I was looking forward to still cooking some things for guests and parties...but right now I have a knowledge shortage about how to cook things that I can now eat. I am planning to keep looking around these forums until that is solved.

Every time I have an appointment with my hairdresser (or my miracle worker as DH calls her!) I bake a loaf of bread for her instead of a cash tip. She always looks forward to my visits!!

Ok, I'll gather a list of people to bake for, there's a plan.

I haven't found a source of coconut flour here (in the UK) yet. Would I get the same thing by grinding dessicated coconut?

It'll mostly work, though it's not exactly the same thing...but many have done just that, very finely grind dried unsweetened coconut.

Technically, coconut flour is the meat/fiber left over after the coconut oil has been removed, then dried and very finely ground.

Hope this helps.
